EQ test for work
An EQ test for work can provide prompts for reflecting on feedback, collaboration, and pressure. EQTiger offers a broad adult assessment, not a hiring or employee-ranking tool. Use your result to choose a behavior to try in a real work conversation.

Who it is for
Individual contributors and coworkers who want to examine their own response patterns without grading colleagues.
Separate the task problem from the emotional signal
A teammate returns a draft with many edits. The task problem is deciding which changes improve the work; the emotional signal might be disappointment, defensiveness, or uncertainty about expectations. Naming both prevents an editing discussion from silently turning into an argument about respect.
Before replying, try writing two sentences: what specifically changed, and what you need to clarify. For example, “The audience changed from new customers to returning customers. Which version should I prioritize today?” This gives the conversation a concrete next step.
What to notice in workplace habits
Look at how you handle interrupted work, unclear responsibility, and disagreement about priorities. Listening does not require accepting an impossible deadline. A constructive response can acknowledge a colleague’s pressure and still explain your capacity.
Avoid using an EQ label to dismiss dissent. A person can disagree directly and still listen carefully. Likewise, a calm tone does not make an unfair request reasonable. Consider the content, power relationship, and available choices.
Make a small work experiment
After the assessment, choose one observable behavior: summarize the requested change before defending your draft, ask one clarifying question in a tense meeting, or name a boundary before resentment builds. Write down what you did and what happened, without scoring the other person.
This page uses the full 36-item assessment across adult situations. There is no workplace-specific certification, employment cutoff, or team dashboard. The optional report can support private reflection; it is not evidence for a hiring decision.
