EQ test for leaders and managers
For leaders and managers, EQ reflection starts with the effects of your decisions on other people. EQTiger can help you consider listening, pressure, and relationship habits. It does not certify leadership ability or tell you how employees experience you.

Who it is for
Managers, project leads, and people with decision authority who want to examine their own behavior before requesting change from a team.
Power changes the conversation
A direct report may say “That is fine” because the deadline is workable, or because contradicting you feels costly. You cannot settle the difference by reading their face. Invite concrete constraints: “What would have to move to make this deadline realistic?” Then allow time for an answer.
Notice what you do after someone disagrees. If you invite concerns but immediately rebut every example, your invitation offers little practical room. A useful next move is to summarize the concern and explain which decision is still open.
Feedback needs both clarity and listening
Try separating observation, effect, and request. “The handoff omitted the customer’s deadline, so the next shift could not prioritize it. Can we add a deadline field?” is more usable than “Be more thoughtful.” Ask whether there was an obstacle you missed.
Regulation is not a requirement to conceal every feeling. A manager can say, “I am concerned about the delay, and I want to understand what happened.” Avoid making the employee responsible for calming you before they can discuss the work.
Turn reflection into accountability
Pick a management behavior that someone could observe, such as leaving a pause after a question or documenting agreed priorities. Review your own action at the next meeting. Do not request employees’ private EQ scores as proof that they are participating.
The assessment on this page is the standard adult EQTiger assessment. Its full report gives descriptive reflection material, not a leadership benchmark. Combine your reflection with specific, voluntarily offered feedback about your actions rather than treating the profile as a verdict.
