Conflict conversation planner

The conflict conversation planner turns your notes into a structured, printable conversation plan. Fill in what happened, what matters, a request, and how you will listen or pause. Your writing stays in this page’s memory until you leave or reset it; printing creates a copy you control.

Explore your emotions and relationships with the free EQTiger assessment.

Build your conversation plan

Write only what you want in your printed copy. Your text stays in this page and is cleared when you leave or reset.

Example: The last two handoffs arrived after the agreed time.

Example: I feel frustrated because I cannot plan the next step.

Example: Could we agree on a realistic handoff time?

Example: What has made the current timing difficult?

Example: I can adjust the order, but I cannot extend my shift.

Example: I want to resolve this. Could we pause and return at 3?

Example: Propose a trial plan and a time to review it together.

Who it is for

Adults preparing for an ordinary, manageable disagreement with a coworker, friend, roommate, or partner.

Prepare an opening that another person can answer

Describe an observable event before assigning meaning to it. “We began dinner forty minutes later than planned” is more specific than “You never respect my schedule.” Add the feeling and practical impact, then make one request rather than a list of everything that has gone wrong.

The preview combines your notes without rewriting them or deciding what you should say. Review it for language you would actually use. The planner cannot judge who is right or predict how the other person will respond.

Leave space for a different account

Write a question that invites the other person’s perspective. “What did I miss about the timing?” gives them room to add information. Also decide what you can be flexible about and what limit you need to state plainly.

A pause plan should include a proposed time to return. If a conversation involves threats, coercion, or fear, prioritize safety and support instead of using a joint planning exercise. You can choose not to begin or continue a conversation.

Print only what you want to keep

Use the print button to make a clean paper copy or save a PDF through your browser. Nothing is stored as a draft after navigation or reload. Keep identifying details out if the page may be visible on a shared screen or printed in a shared workspace.

Questions

Does EQTiger save my conversation plan?

The planner keeps your text only in the current page’s memory. Reloading, leaving, or resetting clears it. Browser printing creates a separate copy that you control.
