What your EQTiger self-awareness score means
EQTiger’s Emotional Self-Awareness dimension concerns noticing and naming what you feel and considering why. Its score summarizes relevant scenario judgments and self-reported habits. It does not measure how much time you spend analyzing yourself or whether every interpretation is correct.

What this dimension is about
Self-awareness begins with recognizing your own experience before making it a claim about someone else. You might notice disappointment after a changed plan and distinguish it from the conclusion that the other person does not care. The feeling is part of your experience; the conclusion needs evidence. This dimension gives you a place to reflect on that distinction without requiring a complete explanation for every emotion.
Each EQTiger dimension draws on six items in the full assessment, including three scenarios and three habit questions. The dimension score combines the available component scores under the product's scoring rules. It is a descriptive 0 to 100 EQTiger score. A higher value does not establish perfect self-knowledge, and a lower value does not mean your feelings are invalid.
Reading judgment and habits together
A stronger judgment component may suggest that you recognize constructive ways of identifying feelings in the presented situations. The habit component reflects how you describe your own tendencies. If they differ, ask whether a recent example fits the pattern. Do you know what would help you notice a feeling but move too quickly to do it? Or do you describe a useful routine that did not translate into your scenario choices?
The result cannot settle why a difference exists. It also cannot reveal the hidden cause of a feeling or tell you what another person intended. Keep the interpretation close to what was asked. A useful reading leads to an observation you can make in daily life rather than an unsupported explanation of your whole history.
Example: disappointment underneath a sharp reply
Imagine replying sharply when a friend changes an arrangement. On review, you recognize disappointment about losing time together and uncertainty about whether the plan mattered to them. Naming those separately gives you two possible next steps: express the disappointment and ask about the arrangement. You do not have to treat the initial sharpness as the clearest or most accurate account of what you needed.
For practice, write the event, one feeling word, and the interpretation you attached to it. Mark the interpretation as something to check when appropriate. Then choose one action or decide that no action is needed. This original exercise keeps reflection bounded. Repeatedly replaying the exchange until all uncertainty disappears is not required for self-awareness.
What to do with the score
If the dimension is unscored, read it as insufficient information rather than zero. If it is scored, consider the band alongside your examples and completion context. The band does not assign an emotional age or rank your insight against other adults. It organizes responses within this assessment.

The useful outcome is a clearer account of what you felt and a more deliberate next action, not an endlessly detailed analysis of yourself.
