EQTiger Assessment Limitations

Descriptive feedback with incomplete evidence
EQTiger is not a validated psychometric instrument. The six dimensions are product categories, not established independent factors. The short bank samples only a small part of everyday emotional life. A detailed report does not remove those limits.
Scenario keys reflect authored judgments about the listed actions under the stated circumstances. They are not expert consensus or experimental outcome estimates. Self-report depends on what you remember, how you interpret the wording, and how you see yourself.
What a result cannot establish
A result cannot establish demonstrated ability, character, compatibility, job performance, or a cause for distress. A high score cannot disprove another person’s account of your behavior. A lower score cannot invalidate your needs or boundaries.
Band boundaries and completion thresholds are design choices. A small answer change can move a band. Missing information makes comparisons harder, and retaking the same questions introduces familiarity. There are no representative population comparisons.
Context and appropriate use
Culture, language, disability, power, and the details of a relationship can change what a constructive response looks like. The scenarios omit information that may matter in real life. Do not use this assessment for employment, care, eligibility, or other consequential decisions.
EQTiger does not diagnose mental-health conditions or disorders. It is for adults 18 and older and is not therapy or a mental-health screening. Seek qualified support for concerns that need care.
Use feedback as a question
Compare an interpretation with an example that fits and one that does not. Choose a small exercise only if it is appropriate to your situation. Read the scoring explanation, editorial standards, and assessment overview before deciding how to use the result.
