What the assessment measures
The 36 original questions cover emotional self-awareness, regulation, empathy and perspective-taking, social awareness, relationship communication, and conflict navigation. Eighteen questions present scenarios and eighteen ask about habits. The result describes your answers, not observed behavior or a fixed personality.
Allow about nine minutes as a planning estimate, not a measured average or a deadline. Adults aged 18 and older can begin without creating an account. Answer from your experience rather than trying to produce an ideal profile.

Two illustrative questions
These examples were written for this page. They are not questions from the assessment bank and do not have scoring keys.
Illustrative scenario
You and another adult share a community garden plot. They move the planting date without checking whether you can attend. What would you want to clarify before deciding how to respond?
Consider the reason for the change, the agreement you had, and what you need for future planning. This example shows the kind of everyday situation to reflect on; it is not a scored item.
Illustrative habit
When a group chat makes me uneasy, I distinguish what was actually written from the meaning I added before replying.
You could reflect on frequency from rarely through almost always. This example illustrates self-report, which depends on your own recall and interpretation.
How the result is calculated
Fixed rules score scenario judgment and reported habits separately. The available components receive equal weight within each dimension. Enough answered dimensions are then averaged for the overall result. AI never determines the score.
Numbers are descriptive 0 to 100 EQTiger scores. Bands use design cut points at 40, 60, and 80. They do not place you in a population ranking. Read the full methodology for missing-answer rules, versioning, and the calibration roadmap.
What to keep in mind
EQTiger is not a validated psychometric instrument. Its short original bank, dimension structure, scoring keys, and bands need further evaluation. Scenario recognition differs from action under pressure, and reported habits are not independently observed.
EQTiger does not diagnose mental-health conditions or disorders. It is not therapy, a mental-health screening, or a hiring tool. Read the limitations and privacy draft, then use the result as a starting point for a concrete reflection exercise.
